I don't know very much, except what I read on this blogspot and all the publicity which was running on the internet related to the COLD MOUNTAIN RESORT. I was trying to find out if there is such a Luxurious Resort in my country (Romania)as a client of mine (I am a consultant in the field of EU funds, structural funds for the EU members) wants to apply for such a financing source and build & develop such a five star resort in Rasnov-Bran area. As a matter of fact, he was interested in calling it COLD MOUNTAIN... Starting this point, I read things that simply made me sick... Hoping that there will be justice in your case very soon , I wonder if there is any possibility to clean up (not figuratively speaking!) the name of COLD MOUNTAIN RESORT and try to pick up the pieces so that my client's project becomes a success. A success which will be dedicated to you as well, because you anticipated in a correct way the future of Romania's turism. Who, knows, maybe in 2-3 years from now (although we have to keep the resort public up till 5 years...there are ways...), some of you will be the rightfull owners of some gorgeous suits in one of the most beautiful corners of Romania. If Haugester has claimed many untis were sold/reserved in order to demonstrate the viability of the project, he will be using our stolen money as "collateral" to obtain by fraud and deception EU money

ReplyDeleteFortunately, I wasn't reffering to Haugseter and North Capital. By far... Still, I decided to "make some noise" here, in Romania, and dig up the pot of sh... those people have filled up. I will try to find out more about their business here, whom they bribed, which of our politicians are involved... I saw the presentation the Mayor of Rasnov has on internet, making a big fuss over the norwegian project; the political factor matters a lot in this kind of business... Perhaps you've heared about the FNI scandal, some years back. Then there were thousands of people who got ruined as the Fund collapsed and not even now they got compensated... The man behind it was Sorin Ovidiu Vantu, one of the most influent people in nowadays Romania, a great sponsor for the political parties, a real estate shark, a dependent and corrupted media trust owner and much, much more. I am affraid that North Capital might try to act soon because we have presidential elections in november and this is one of the perfect moments to persuade strategic people to back one up in return of a considerable sponsorship.
Also, I will try to make your story heared by contacting a journalist/reporter who might be interested in all the facts you have and start some investigation. I hope I can count on your cooperation.

ReplyDeleteI have had some interesting talks with Kevin. He tells me that they do not have access to the funds because of a legal battle with there bank that charged them a lot of money in commission for converting out money into Dollars (9.5% which was the highest possible). They were suppose to convert automatically every few days or when it got to a certain amount. They are currently trying to argue out the fact that this was to high and much more than others in the business. There are 2 points here. If GWM were going to do a runner with our money they would have been long gone and not having such conversations with me. They are on the other side of the planet and if want to cut all contact and disappear it would be very easy for them to do a Mr Norman!
Secondly I think we should all be very grateful the project did not go to completion as no one would have been able to get a mortgage out there with the current climate and then would have lost even more money. Advice given by ARC to form a Romanian Company was also a costly waste of time as a company with no activity is of no use any way. Now I think we should all give GWM the benefit of the doubt and stop stirring up more trouble and bad publicity for them as over the last 2 years we have achieved nothing. Allister did tell me that half the people in American Resort (ART) got a refund. Unfortunately I was not one of those because I applied late but I guess this is why there are less ART clients out there and why GWM say they have refunded people. Again they didn’t have to do this. So perhaps they have experienced real problems.
At one stage I had a lot of doubt over GWM to mainly created by ARC. The fact that GWM is still contactable means a lot me as others developers around the world have completely pissed of with my money so I think we will get our money one day as Im sure Kevin has much better things to do than to write to me. Have faith all its our last hope!

What is your secret then to getting access to and a response from Kevin? I've not had such success and feel that if someone genuinly intended to refund my money, they would be willing to openinly and reliably communicate with me. And that has not been the case. Hence feeling nervous, abandoned and, so far, defrauded. Besides which, this argument doesn't stack up. I'd be willing to accept a refund less the 9.5% that GWM claim to have lost via the banks comission. Are you sure you are not just being fobbed off?

I was actually refunded on the American Resort but retain a very dim view of Stillmock and his underlings. They really don't offer you a choice in that.

ReplyDeleteStillmock has said similar things to me and I guess even though I think he is thoroughly unprofessional, a poor responder, and an excuse finder, why the heck does he still reply (sparsely albeit) to my emails.
The fact that the American Resort got some compensation (allegedly) is of no consequence to us Cold Mountain investors.
Thus, he might have a point/be genuine.
He could prove that, by providing some timelines, and a staggered refund - if he is genuine, why he fails to communicate with the masses in joint emails, is beyond me.
I'd be willing to accept a staggered payment schedule on my refund. I'd be willing to settle for an amount less than the full amount too. Maybe GWM should try to negotiate with us, but of course, holding our money is always going to be better than returning it, so what is their motivation to play fair with us?

ReplyDeleteI have continued regular conversation with Kevin. The problem with just letting the bank have the 9.5% commission is that the law suit against the bank has gone on for some time and lawyers bills added up. If GWM win the case then they get those fees back. Kevin tells me the case is expected to come to an end early next year and if it does not then he will ask his layers to withdraw the counter suit but ask the bank to pay some of there fees.
This is what Kevin has told me and I’m happy to go with it. As I said he need not respond to me. In-fact I have met him in person and he certainly is not mentally ill that he would enjoy wasting his time replying to me and spending time over the whole issue. If he wanted to disappear then he could have a long time ago!!
He says he does not have access to the funds (previously this was because of a bank investigation on where such large funds have come from)
Moving on we have been discussing other proposals while GWM do not have access to the funds. One is to try and sell the whole project to large investors (not individual units). For this all negative blog activity will have to stop. Kevin would get NC to reinstate our reservations and if it sells at profit the give us some of that. Otherwise when the funds become available we get a refund.
Its clear the project will go a head NC don’t deny it and people in Romania have heard about it and so its certainly no fraud. The delay is the climate plus the fact all of us backed out!
I think it’s worth a try. GWM are not paying me to say all of this. Its just we have got no where over the last 2 years and there is no one willing to help us so why not co-operate with GWM?
A though I had recently and I think all big investors need to consider it; is that if NC took on the responsibility of recovering our funds and then put that amount towards a flat I may consider completing the purchase once it is built. Those that have invested 50000 the flat is almost paid. If NC acknowledges that you have paid X amount then you just pay the rest on completion at least you get some thing for your money. Smaller investors could pay a little more once the development is well on the way eg 3 reservations = a 9000 deposit for a flat then we pay the difference to get it to a 15% deposit. We only pay this once the build is well on the way. Rest on completion. I would only advice this once I have sorted out getting a mortgage. Its been a closed door the last 6 months but I have finally seen some hope with one place willing to consider non-residents. Fingers crossed will keep you posted.

So Stillmock plans on handing this money over to NC / Arve Haugseter? That being the case, can I ask why what you say wouldn't happen anyway? It's our money. What would the argument be for keeping it and NOT "reinstating" our reservations?
And can I ask what the "negative blog activity" is? A bunch of us are curreently owed the better part of GBP £1,000,000. Are we supposed to thank him?
I'll run past Arve Haugster the things here that involve him, and see if he can corroborate anything.
OK, so having sorted that out in my mind a bit, the sitaution as claimed is that:

2b) You then suggest the possibility of effectively going through with a purchase, converting reservation fees into purchasing funds, whereby we are partially financing the construction.

What does Arve Haugseter know of any of this?
I'm sure that, since we all considered our money lost, either option would be better than our current situation, assuming that small reservations could be converted into part-entitlents in some way, ie. 20 £2900 reservation fees would go towards one studio. To expect people to invest MORE in this project, in light of what we've seen these past to years, is a bit much to ask in my opinion, but I'm speaking only for myself.

A con would be on a project that does not exist. This one does. But just to clear some points as my mail seems to be misunderstood. There has been no mention of funds being passed to NC by GWM yet. Kevin just suggested that if we could just get reservations re-instated while the funds are tied up and perhaps give a big push on selling the whole project to big investors and if successful we get our money refunded and profit. Otherwise we still get a refund when money is available.
ReplyDeleteThe idea about transferring several reservations into the purchase of a flat was one of my own. I was only suggesting this if we can’t get money back. We could let NC take responsibility of getting them back. We would agree to complete and ONLY pay more once construction started. I would rather have some thing for my money and large investors wouldn’t have to put in much more to complete the purchase of a studio. We would get NC to agree that it is there responsibility to get the funds of GWM and get them to sign a contract as though we had paid. In return we would complete. This would get them of there back side and actually doing something to get there money or shall I say our money. Lets not pursue this at the moment as o prefer the first option

I think some of what has been written above is true. I have had email conversations with both Kevin and Arve. However, as I explained to both, there is NO WAY that people will invest further money. They MIGHT, if rightful money was returned - personally I feel the project has legs (hence why I invested 1st time), but I want MY money back and THEN I will decide.

ReplyDeleteYes. Our actual investments are £2500 per unit, not £2900. That £400 paid to Arc is lost, that much is certain.
Other deductions are not our concern.
we wouldnt pay GWM any money. It would be paid direct to NC if we were to proceed. We would only pay it once construction WAS well on the way. Im thinking if NC have the backing they will start moving but in such a mess with no investors and the economEy the way it is no developer would be mad enough to start. It would be down to NC to get the outstanding money from GWM with what i propose which is probabaly more likely than us getting it. if they dont get it then the loss is theres- a risk they take for our commitment to complete

ReplyDeleteWhat I would be quite happy with would be to pool our current collective resources into the project - I thought this was the hell what was originally supposed to happen anyway, that our deposits be used to fund the build, but whatever.
So:
Kevin Stillmock gets his mystery legal action with the BOA concluded, and he sends all our funds to North Capital.
At this point I am a hell of a lot happier all round.
That money is used to collectively buy into the project. On the basis of the previous apartment list, I'd say our money would purchase about ten large apartments.
That £800,000 - £1,000,000 investment commitment kick-starts all aspects of the process - funding, marketing etc.
The thing is built.
Our collective interests are sold, and we get a return in proportion to the money we put in. So if someone had four reservations, £2500 X 4 = £10,000, and a 100K unit sold at 110K, the investor would get back his 10% interest, now £11,000.
that's one option that comes to mind, but it's dependent on Kevin Stillmock sending our funds to North Capital.

That seems to have gone the way of the Cold Mountain Resort (ie nowhere and people are left out of pocket !) Tough times all round. Don't hope for much yourselves, after Al found out he, alledgedley, knew about Stillmocks fraud signature, he spent most of money on solicitors. Well we have a deal. now not Al Robs Clients...but Anyone Can Rob Clients....A franchise, (Al a bit stuck in Rom, but promises won't invlove Stillmock FBI/Interpol et al) no no Al but Latin al)
So deal is, get franchise from ARC, sell to whoever and give us 10%, we will pass on leads, and we GUARANTEE non will be pre vetted/due diligence etc.....just like GWM, worked a traet before. ReplyDeleteI've followed Stillmock's career for close to twenty years. All that has gone before in this blog is pretty typical Stillmock. He will string you on with promises and requests for more money, with the expectation of grandiose returns just around the bend. Trouble is, you never get around the bend.
I'm not sure if he really tries to get his ideas off of the ground or not, I've only seen a trail of unpaid bills in his wake.
I'm interested to see he pull in over a million in this adventure. He does speak in large terms. He doesn't know how to or doesn't want to convert that concept into a realizable gain for those whom he has received money.
I think if one were to correctly interpret his invest in Romania strategy, it would be "Invest in Kevin Stillmock".

ReplyDeleteInteresting questions. I've never seen his real books. For my investment(?) with Kevin there was some vestige of legitimacy to his project. Now, whether that was a scam on another to booster his image or was it a real attempt to further a project, I don't know. There were unpaid bills left in his (Kevin's) wake. I did not get my money back, but I had no illusion I would see a return. My interest was in helping a young man get his start. I think I may have unwittingly aided his venture into devising ways to convince people to give him money. That thought sits at the back of my head. He approached me for more. Having been down that road,I did not go again. I help once, then it's on the one I helped.
Life has a way of catching up, rewarding and punishing. I have seeded others and been rewarded as well as lost on them. Pursuing the contents above, he may have been taken by others more devious than he, but I am more inclined to think he pretended involvement of others of notoriety to give himself image appeal. It's all a guess, you'll never hear truth and trust it to be truth from him.
If you bought into his pitch of grandiose returns (his trademark)and put out more than you could afford to throw at high risk investments, I truly sympathize.

Kevin Stillmock of ex Baltimore and now Via Principala in Bran has robbed us of £600,000, yes six hundred thousand pounds in a Cold Mountain Resort project. He used a fake company called GWM, Global Wealth Managers for this, it even has fake employees. He has invented a totally fabricated court case in order to not give us our money back, and is still living in Romania. He fooled us in co operation with an Alistair Norman, of Barrington in Cambridge who was MD of a now bancrupt outfit called ARC,( Alistair Norman and Rebeccaa Molinof) We are investigating him via Interpol/FBI/Romanian police, and quite a file is being created. As you say life has a way of catching up, his legacy to planet Earth is misery, and he will be remembered for this and eventually prosecuted.

These people on YouTube have been paid to say how great he is. Let me tell you, he is not. He is a lying thief who owes me, and many others, thousands of Euro’s from the Cold Mountain Project in Romania. I have tried countless time to start a dialogue with him but he refuses to answer any of my emails.
Please do not get involved with this man. Kevin Stillmock is a criminal. DO NOT get involved in any of his scams. The YouTube “stunt” shows how desperate he really is to improve his image. It’s good to see this blog is causing him some pain :)

ReplyDeleteI've just watched the 'Friends of Kevin Stillmock' YouTube testimonials and some of them are quite funny, especially the one of the young American guy who looks like he's on speed.
Stillmock doesn't seem to be doing himself any favours. Any potential investor looking at those videos is likely to be put off from doing 'business' with Stillmock (or 'Stomock', or whatever this shady character is calling himself these days).

Please everyone chill out on the language. Stillmock owes, by my calculations, at least around $750,000 to the Cold Mountain investors, but until he's convicted in a court of law, he is not technically a criminal. Nor a thief, for that matter.
I know, an absolute technicality. But I want to keep this blog FACTUAL, and posting wild insults is NOT helping that end.

ReplyDeleteIt's a plausible hypothesis. Maybe they were paid, maybe they weren't. Maybe some of these people are on the level. Who knows? Personally, I strongly doubt it.
However, I CAN personally and unequivocally account for the better part of three quarters of a million dollars he owes investors, as I've seen all the relevant documentation.
That is far more damning an indictment than speculating about the motivation of the You Tube posters.

Not surprisingly, the "famous" property developer was impossible to contact as all his websites had bogus numbers.

What do youi mean by this? What did he say?
A close friend of Stillmock's (or probably Stillmock pretending to be someone else) said that others were more guilty than him, implicating either Alastair or Arve.
ReplyDeleteDo you still have communication lines with Arve? It might be worth revisiting the alleged sequence of events and where the money theoretically is etc...Is it still meant to be in a US Bank?
If so, which one, and can we contact them?

I am afraid that I will never stop chasing Stillmock, even it it means going out there and meeting him face to face. I was just about to do that last year but something important came up at home.
I know he would pay up at that point.

ReplyDeleteAlistair is "guilty" of getting us into it, but that's it as far as it goes for him. I always found him highly professional and courteous in all dealings I had with him.
Arve Haugseter was never involved in the money side, and was as much a victim as we were in the forgery scam of the contract signatures. His company lost a fair bit, it seems.
There's only one guilty party in this, the rat who's still sitting on the better part of $750,000 of our money. I can personally guarantee you that, as I still have all the contracts / certificates of purchase.
Although I haven't spoken to Arve this year, coincidentally I was recently talking to a journalist who wanted to know about the matter and had been in contact with him, Arve's company being within their sphere of interest. For what it's worth, I've given him the full story.

I have no doubt this is another scam. What i dont understand is why they actually respond to my e-mails in detail? Why not just ignore me completely?

ReplyDeletei transferred to Wild foxes and had communication for ages with a Gregg Robertson (probably a made up name). I was basically kept dangling with prospective buyers coming and going. In the end i called his bluff and asked for my rental income. Despite promises and delay tactics (My computers down), the communication ceased and suprise,suprise no money appeared.
Whilst this was very much expected, what i cant figure out is wny they have bothered over the last 2-3 years to continue communication, provide Rental agreements and income statements etc when they could have just ignored my mails.
